This past November, the final Acura NSX Type S rolled off the line at Acura's Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Marysville, Ohio. Painted in matte Gotham Gray, the #350 NSX Type S marked the conclusion of the hybrid sports car's exhilarating story. Hailed as an everyday supercar, the Acura NSX was famed for its blend of daily-drivable comfort, ride quality, and exotic-humbling performance. In addition to styling and aero enhancements, the Type S's three-motor twin-turbo V-6 hybrid saw a performance boost, increasing horsepower from 573 to 600 and torque from 476 to 492 pound-feet.
However, on the same day the NSX wrote its final chapter, the TLX started a new one--beginning hand-assembly of limited-run PMC Edition variants. Built on the TLX Type S dual-scroll turbo V-6 (355 horsepower, 354 pound-feet of torque), the new PMC Edition features exclusive Berlina Black exterior accents, carbon fiber decklid spoiler and rear diffuser, and NSX-inspired 20-inch Y-spoke lightweight wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero summer tires. On the inside, the PMC Edition reinforces its high-performance aspirations with carbon-fiber trim, high-grade Milano leather seats with Ultrasuede® inserts, premium Type S floor mats, and unique color themes. PMC Edition models will be limited to 100 units of each color: Long Beach Blue Pearl, Curva Red, and 130R White.
