Last summer, the Integra nameplate made its heralded return to Acura's portfolio, resurrecting the iconic sports car's "aspirational yet attainable" character for a new generation of driving enthusiasts. Available now at Key Acura of Gainesville, the 2023 Integra boasts assertive styling, engaging driving dynamics, premium driver-focused accommodations, and the first factory-installed turbocharger in the model's history. It also brought an available six-speed manual back to the Acura lineup, complete with short-throw shifts, rev-matching, and a helical limited-slip differential.

While a turbocharged, 200-horsepower Integra with manual gear changes is more than enough to have a little fun, particularly fervent fans may have found themselves waiting for a new Integra with even more under-hood motivation. Fortunately, Alachua and Middleburg enthusiasts won't have to wait for long, as Acura has confirmed a high-performance Type S variant is in development and slated to arrive this summer.

As is expected from such high-profile releases, full details are still forthcoming. However, Acura has stated that the turbocharged 2.0-liter VTEC engine will make more than 300 horsepower and pair exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
